Please attend all initial pelvic floor appointments with a semi-full bladder. During your appointment it may be necessary to do an internal vaginal examination. Your highly trained physiotherapist will discuss this with you in more detail if necessary and will always ask for consent. If you do not consent, we will find an alternative.

** You and your physiotherapist may decide that your best option for prolapse treatment involves a pessary fitting. A pessary is a silicone device you will be taught to use which supports your pelvic organs. The fitting costs $160 on top of your appointment and includes all pessaries you take home. This will always be discussed with you in great detail prior to the appointment.
